Former Teacher Headed To Court

A former Tulsa Public Schools English teacher accused of murder is expected in court on Monday. 

A preliminary hearing is expected to get underway Monday for 50-year old John Kastner.  He is accused of killing his wife in June. 

Kastner told Tulsa Police a burglar killed his wife, but prosecutors say there was never any intruder and Kastner shot his wife Lori as she slept. 

A Tulsa Police affidavit alleges a pattern of lying by Kastner, who claimed he was a member of the Israeli military and son of a wealthy inventor. 

A Tulsa County District Court judge will determine if Kastner should stand trial for first-degree murder.
