Search Is On For Missing Swan

TULSA, OK - When Don Mullins bought a swan for the pond behind his Tulsa home, he thought it would fit in perfectly with some other feathered friends - the geese and ducks.

"We have 3 or 4 Canadians and about a half a dozen Mallards swimming in the pond," said Mullins. "We picked up the swan a week ago Monday, we took her to the vet and had her wings clipped so she couldn't fly.  We had her (checked) so we'd know what sex she was, and we brought her to the pond and she was fine.  We fed her and everything, then a week ago, we saw her and thirty minutes later she was gone."

Mullins put up signs in the neighborhood around 61^st and Yale and people have called after sightings of the swan.

"She was reported as being seen at the Willow Creek Apartments at 68^th and Yale, said Mullins.  "We checked those out and we haven't been able to find her."

Don hopes to find his missing swan soon.  He says she has a good home waiting at his little pond, and he just wants her back safe and sound.
