WAGONER, OK -- A Tulsa man accused of killing his step-daughter has been found guilty.

A Wagoner County jury found Oscar Patterson guilty of first-degree murder in the 1997 killing of 15-year-old Tiffany Beverly.

Jurors began deliberating the case on Thursday night and reached a decision at 6:30 Friday morning.

Patterson was originally convicted of Beverly's death in 2000 and was sentenced to death by a Tulsa County Jury. The conviction and sentence were overturned in 2002 when evidence showed the teenager was killed in Wagoner County.

Oscar Patterson III was accused of killing Beverly to cover up sexual abuse. He is currently serving a 100-year term for sexually abusing another teenage family member.
