Surveillance Video Leads To Arrest

Tulsa detectives used surveillance video from a Wal-Mart store to identified Shawn Batt as the suspect in a recent burglary.

TULSA, OK -- Tulsa police announced Friday the arrest of a wanted burglary suspect.

20-year-old Shawn Batt was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on complaints of First Degree Burglary, Uttering a Forged Instrument, and Knowingly Concealing Stolen Property.

Tulsa detectives used surveillance video from a Wal-Mart store to identified Batt as the suspect in a burglary near 28th and S. Utica Ave. on Thursday.  Several homes in the area were burglarized.

Investigators allege Batt and a woman used a stolen credit card at the Wal-Mart store. Police arrested Batt soon after the video was released.

Detectives continue to investigate additional suspects.  Anyone with information about the burglaries should call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS.
