TULSA, OK -- If you've ever lost your digital camera, you know how frustrating it can be to not only lose all your pictures, but then to be out the money it cost to buy the camera.

If you have the right tools, you may be able to track down your lost gadgets.

Anyone who loves taking pictures may want to consider getting a special memory card called, Eye-Fi. The card automatically uploads your pictures to your computer as soon as you're connected to a wireless network.

It's convenient, plus the card could protect you from thieves. Reuters reported one case where this proved true. A woman's camera was stolen while she was on vacation in Florida.

The thief took pictures of himself and then walked past an unsecure Wi-Fi network. All of the pictures were sent to the woman's computer and she got her camera back thanks to the Eye-Fi.

Vera Ballew of Tulsa loves taking pictures. She takes her camera with her nearly everywhere she goes.

"Everywhere. I am not without it, except for in the shower," said Vera Ballew of Tulsa.

Ballew knows what it's like to lose a camera.

She says the memory card sounds right up her alley.

"Unfortunately, I'm losing a few things here lately so that would be great. I would love that," said Ballew.

You can buy a 2GB Eye-Fi Card for about $80.

GadgetTrak PhoneBak is a theft recovery program for cell phones. According to their website, you can have your phone call you if it's lost or stolen.

You can buy LoJack for Laptops to protect your computer. The company's website indicates if your computer is stolen, their Theft Recovery Team will use the software to find the computer and then give local police the information they need to get it back.
