Mayor Cited Following Fatal Accident

CHELSEA, OK -- A Rogers County mayor is under investigation following a fatal accident.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Chelsea Mayor Norman Wooten hit and killed a motorcycle rider on state Highway 66 last Friday.

OHP troopers say Wooten ran a stop sign. James Cordry died at the scene.

Wooten was cited for negligent homicide and failure to yield.
