OKMULGEE, OK - An Okmulgee City Councilor has pleaded no contest to misdemeanor outraging public decency charge.

Councilor Brandon Branch was ticketed several weeks ago in a Henryetta parking lot for indecent exposure.

Branch told The News On 6 it was easier and cheaper to take the conviction than fight it in court.  He says if he doesn't get in trouble again for six months, the matter will be wiped off his record.

However, The News On 6 uncovered records of two similar deals in Tulsa, from 1994 and 2003 involving Brandon Branch.

He says there are people who want him off the city council and they are making a bigger issue of this than it really is.
