TULSA, OK -- Some Tulsa women are strapping on tool belts to lend a helping hand.  The women got started on the newest Habitat for Humanity house with a Stud Nailing Ceremony which is their version of a ground breaking.

The house will be the 63rd Habitat Home that has been built in the South Haven neighborhood in the 3700 block of West 55th Street.

Since the group began five years ago, it says homeownership has risen from about 40% to nearly 80%.

The latest South Haven home will be extra special because it'll be completely built by area women.

Habitat says it can always use more help.

"You don't have to have any experience to join in building. So, it's a great chance to see how a house is constructed and actually participate in it," said Habitat for Humanity Deputy Director Paul Kent.

To volunteer or for more information you can call 592-4224.

The real construction begins next Saturday.  Habitat hopes to have the home move-in ready by Winter Break.
