TULSA, OK -- Dirt was turned on Tuesday for the newest project for Tulsa Public Schools: the Henry Zarrow International School Library and Media Center.
The money for the addition comes from the passage of a 2005 bond issue and from donors like Anne and Henry Zarrow.
"Right now we don't even have enough room to shelve all of our books. Part of them are in storage. We probably, we have students who are voracious readers and we probably have students who have read all of the books we have that are on the shelves so we have to interchange some of our books," said Zarrow Principal Robin Postier.
The library will hold nearly 12,000 books in both English and Spanish. The project should be finished by August of next year.
