Rain Can't Keep Away Lawn Mower Races

As the weather cools down, many think about putting the lawn mower away for the season, but not if you like to race.

CLAREMORE, OK -- As the weather cools down, many think about putting the lawn mower away for the season, but not if you like to race. Claremore is the sight this weekend of the 10th semi-annual Lawn Mower Races.

Charles McCaskey, Tim Johnson and Paul Casey have racing lawn mowers, it may be raining, but we're talking about racing not mowing.

The races begin Sunday at 2 p.m. at the VFW on West Dupont, South of the Claremore Recreation Center. There will be activities for kids and anyone with a riding mower is invited to race.
