TULSA, OK -- A Tulsa dentist has an answer to what to do with all of the trick or treat candy kids will get for Halloween.
Dr. Kimberly Firey at Brooktowne Dentistry will swap Halloween candy for cash. The dentist will pay a dollar per pound for candy.
Then the candy will be given to the Blue Star Mothers to send to soldiers in holiday freedom boxes.
It's a great way to keep teeth healthy and help support our troops.
"It supports the troops and lets them know we love them no matter where they are and I think that is one of the things that is going to be most empowering about this," said Dr. Firey.
Brooktowne Dentistry will hold the candy for cash exchange on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. They're located near 41st and Peoria.
