Oktoberfest Claim Denied By Board

TULSA, OK -- The Board that oversees Tulsa RiverParks rejected a financial claim from a woman hurt in last year's Oktoberfest incident.

A tent collapsed during a thunderstorm on the first night of Oktoberfest 2007, seriously injuring Jessica Hardy and at least four other people. Hardy was working for a wine distributor that night, and was hit by a tent pole.

Her attorney says she has permanent injuries.

On Thursday, the Tulsa RiverParks Board voted to disallow her claim, because its insurance company says the claim should be covered by worker's compensation.
