WAGONER, OK -- They call him Gus "the bus." Gus Jones has been a driving force behind Wagoner's success, but he isn't the only one with his hands on the wheel.

"We're pretty solid everywhere," said Wagoner senior Dalton Grooms. "We're a little young in some spot but we've been working it out pretty good."

After a road playoff win in Collinsville, the bus pulls up to Glenpool on Saturday to play against a team that's only allowed 19 points all season.

"With those kinds of statistics you'd have to say for us to win we'd just have to have a phenomenal defensive effort and have a lot of things go our way," said Wagoner coach Dale Condict. "It's going to be a big challenge for us going into this ballgame."

"I think it'll be a battle until the end," Grooms said. "It'll be close - maybe two touchdowns a team."

These familiar 4A foes both boast experience, something the Bulldogs say was a big factor in their first round playoff victory.

"We showed that the other night against Collinsville," Grooms said. "They weren't used to being in the atmosphere. You have to play every down like it's your last."
