TULSA, OK -- Tulsa's Mayor and City Council are throwing their support behind an effort to save the hospital.
OSU Medical Center is strapped for cash and could shut down within weeks.
On Thursday, the council unanimously passed a resolution to pressure lawmakers to rescue the dying hospital.
It will take millions of dollars to keep it open, but councilors say the cost doesn't compare to the health care crisis that we'd see if the hospital closed its doors.
