UNDATED -- Dozens of retailers are opening their doors in just a few hours and some shoppers are camping out to beat the crowds.

Everyone knows those Black Friday sales start bright and early Friday morning, but at Bass Pro, they're doing something a little different to make the wait more pleasurable. Everything from handing out s'mores, to campfires, even sing-a-longs. All to make the night worthwhile for the customers.

It's not Thanksgiving without the one-day sales and the Taylor's have it all figured out.

She's on the prowl for a big-screen TV. He wants power tools, a lot of them.

"I know what I'm looking for. And Lowe's has got it. Home Depot's got it. And Bass Pro's got it," said Lance Taylor.

And Bass Pro is making die-hard shoppers a little more comfortable.

"Food, music, fire. I mean, it's thanksgiving evening, most people have already eaten at this point, they just want to hang out and maybe win a gift card," said Bass Pro Manager Chris Koeninger.

Many retail groups are predicting national sales will fall by eight percent this holiday season.

The store manager says when times are tough; price knockdowns are make-or-break for his bottom-line.

"Every little bit helps. So these gift cards mean a lot to people. They can come in and then get gifts that maybe they normally wouldn't buy this year because they're saving back," said Koeninger.

The customers are having fun, it's a camp-out after all, but many shoppers say they're cutting back.

"The sales help. Because the smoker's a hundred dollars off on black Friday. Otherwise, its $200," said Black Friday shopper, Jean Ellen Coshapp.

It's not just about sales, it's about doing something a little crazy and having a little fun.

"Times are bad, but I'm telling you, these are great deals. And you need to, instead of sitting home, get out and enjoy tomorrow," said Lance Taylor.

The doors open at Bass Pro at 6 a.m. Other retailers open up at 5 a.m.; some even open their doors at four in the morning. So make sure you have those coupons ready to go.
