TULSA, OK -- It appears a possible announcement later this week about the future of the Arena Football League will have no impact on the Tulsa Talons' 2009 season.

Multiple media sources are saying the 23^rd season of the Arena Football League will be canceled. Those sources say an announcement is expected by Friday.

Tulsa Talons are part of Arena Football 2, a development league for the AFL.

ESPN is reporting AF2, now in its 10^th season will play in 2009.

The Tulsa Talons will start the 2009 season at home on Saturday, March 28 in the BOK Center.
