DFest Accepting Artist Submissions

TULSA, OK -- One of Oklahoma's largest music festivals is accepting artist submissions.

The organizers of Tulsa's DFest held a launch party Friday night at the Circle Cinema.

The festival is now in its eighth year and this is the first time they've had this kind of gathering for performers.

"It's nice to put a face with the bands and we do like to be pretty hands on and meet our artists and meet the artists that are serious about their careers," said Angie DeVore-Green.

Artists who didn't make it to the party can submit their entries through the mail or online through March 27th.

Organizers say they usually get about a thousand submissions, but only 130 or so artists are selected to perform.

DFest will take over downtown Tulsa again, July 24th and 25th of next year.
