OG&E To Request 2009 Rate Increase

Oklahoma Gas and Electric says labor, health care, materials and other costs have gone up making it necessary to increase utility rates.

UNDATED - Your Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company bill may be going up in just a matter of months. The utility company is requesting a rate increase in 2009.

The company says labor, health care, materials and other costs have gone up making it necessary to increase rates.

The amount of the increase and other details are still being worked out.

OG&E will file the request with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission in about a month and a half.
