OKLAHOMA CITY -- An Albright Insurance employee was impressed by her boss' generosity after he handed everyone a $100 bill and asked them to pay it forward.

Daren Wilson wanted to give everyone the opportunity to give back to those in need.

The concept of pay it forward is when one person does something good for another person, who in turn extends the generosity to another person, and so on.

"I'm hoping to just be shopping and I just want to walk up and give it to somebody and just walk away," Audra Klinger said.

Another employee decided to return the favor by contributing to her church's angel tree.

"A few years ago, when I was going through a divorce I didn't know if we were going to have Christmas," Karen Fortenberry said. "The church stepping in and provided us with help."

Other employees offered their $100 to a charity for the homeless.

Some employees couldn't decide how to spend it.

"I know a single mom with five kids that I thought could really use it," Tina Stracener said. "I also know a family that the wife has cancer and they don't have insurance."

Wherever the money ends up, all of the employees are grateful for the opportunity to give.

"To me, it's simply having the means to help someone else who then, in turn, will hopefully be able to...help someone else," Wilson said.

He hopes his example, inspires others to give.

"Every one of us has an opportunity or something within us to help other people," Wilson said. "If we would just take the time to look around and see those in need, I think it could make a big difference."

Employees who still have the money plan to give it away by this weekend.
