TULSA, OK -- The latest works of art by Tulsa's Garden Diva, will hopefully encourage folks to keep Tulsa clean.

Lisa Regan designed 10 new trash cans for Centennial Park.

City leaders say they noticed trash cans at other parks were usually overflowing and an eye sore.

They hope the new, oversized, decorative cans will encourage folks to throw trash away, the right way.

"We want to call attention to the fact that we're adding some beauty to our parks in connection with our trash can encouraging people to use them and also adding to the beauty of the park and the detail of that beauty as opposed to having just this rubber can out there," said Mayor Kathy Taylor.

The new trash cans have a locking mechanism that makes them burglar proof. Plus, a special black paint was used that can easily be repainted in case of vandalism.
