Kastner Asks For Trial To Be Moved

TULSA, OK -- John Kastner was in court Monday and told the judge he wanted to represent himself, but keep his current attorney as an advisor.

Kastner also told the judge he wanted his trial moved up. The judge was ready to set a trial date in September, but Kastner objected.

The judge will hear arguments on both issues next month.

Kastner taught at Tulsa's Webster High, and is accused of shooting his wife Lori in their West Tulsa home in June to cover up a pack of lies he'd told family and friends.
