TULSA, OK -- Well there's nothing like some friendly competition right before the holidays, especially when it's all about giving.

On Monday, the Tulsa Fire Department and Tulsa Police grabbed a bucket and a bell and set out to see who could raise the most money for the Salvation Army.

The two teams hit Woodland Hills Mall for their "Boots and Badges" challenge.

The departments say they're happy to help out those in need, but they admit winning would be nice, too.

"Of course any time we have a competition against the police department, the fire department always tries to beat them," said Captain Randy Reed of the Tulsa Fire Department.

The winner gets a trophy and of course bragging rights.
