OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma Corporation Commission and Oklahoma Gas & Electric reached an agreement that will reduce electric customers' bills in 2009.

According to the company, OG & E asked the commission staff to waive a requirement that the company use Oct. 31 data to set its fuel recovery rate for 2009 and use Dec. 31 instead.

They say by using the year-end figures, the company will take advantage of the reduced price for natural gas.

Officials say the average residential customer will save more than $3 per month.  OG&E serves about 762,000 customers in Oklahoma and western Arkansas.
