SAND SPRINGS, OK -- A dangerous high speed police chase overnight lands one person in the Tulsa County jail.

The chase began in downtown Sand Springs early Monday, when police officers tried to stop a speeding Chevy Camero.

The driver took off at speeds reaching 100 miles per hour.

Sand Springs Police say the driver even ran a number of other motorists off the road.

The chase ended when the driver lost control and hit some trees at Shell Creek Road and 123rd West Avenue.

A passenger in the car tried to run off but was found and arrested.

The driver got away, but Sand Springs Police say they believe they know who he is.
