OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- State Auditor and Inspector Steve Burrage is the ranking state executive in Oklahoma and is expected to remain so until Wednesday.

Gov. Brad Henry, Lt. Gov. Jari Askins, Senate Pro Tem designate Glenn Coffee and House Speaker Chris Benge are all out of town.

This leaves Burrage in charge. He has no big plans in mind. As he put it, "I am just going to keep doing what I am supposed to do."

In July, Henry, a Democrat, appointed Burrage, also a Democrat, to fulfill the remaining term of Jeff McMahan, who resigned the office after he and his wife Lori were convicted of one count of conspiracy and two counts of bribery. They await sentencing.

Henry and Askins were in San Diego to attend the Holiday Bowl featuring Oklahoma State University and Oregon. Coffee was also attending.
