Suspect In A Tulsa Murder Surrenders

A Tulsa homicide suspect surrendered to Oklahoma City Police Tuesday morning.

TULSA, OK -- A Tulsa homicide suspect surrendered to Oklahoma City Police Tuesday morning.

David Michael Jenkins, 36, is accused of stabbing 28-year old Ernie Banks multiple times on Christmas Eve during what Tulsa Police say was an argument over drugs.

Banks died later at a Tulsa hospital.

The incident took place in the 4100 block of South Peoria.

He surrendered Tuesday after feeling pressure from the Northern Oklahoma Violence Crimes Task Force to turn himself in.

Jenkins is now being transported to the Tulsa County jail, where he will be booked in on first degree murder complaint.
