SAND SPRINGS, OK -- An anonymous tip lead police to the arrest of a Sand Springs car-jacking/kidnap suspect in Tulsa Tuesday afternoon.

Sand Springs assistant police chief Mike Carter says a 51-year old woman told police officers the incident happened Monday in 1200 block of Charles Page Blvd. when a suspect stolen her 2001 Toyota minivan and attempted to kidnap her.

After locating the minivan in Tulsa, thanks to a tip, officers also found the suspect in the 500 block of south 72nd West Avenue.

Carter says police arrested 40-year old Robert Frye Sr.

A search of the Frye's residence turned up several items that Carter said belonged to the victim, one of which was her cell phone.

Frye was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of attempted kidnapping and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
