In college they won conference championships together. Now, three former ORU basketball stand-outs are back in town playing basketball for the Tulsa 66ers.

"Just hearing the rumors about the D-League and all that kind of stuff, I told myself, ‘I'm never going to play in the D-League,'" said 66ers forward Moses Ehambe. "I proved myself wrong. This is who I am and I'm glad I'm here."

D-League is short for the NBA's Developmental League - basketball's answer to the minor leagues. The ORU trio is just a step short from playing pro as members of the Tulsa 66ers. And they're doing it around some familiar faces in the city they played college basketball.

"Playing in Tulsa for some many years and we're still together," said 66ers forward Yemi Ogunoye. "You know everybody and you know the fans coming to the game. It's just a real comfortable feeling. It's family."

All three have yet to see the floor at the same time during a game. For them, playing together again would be a snapshot worth keeping.

"It'd be a nice picture to have us all out there," said 66ers guard Adam Liberty. "Seeing (Ogunoye) get some fast break dunks and (Ehambe) shooting the three with me passing it to him."

"We have the chemistry with each other," Ehambe said. "We know our weaknesses and our strengths. It's whenever coach wants it to happen."
