TULSA, OK -- Furnishings from Tulsa's recently vacated City Hall hit the auction block Wednesday.

Dozens of people gathered at the Convention Center for their piece of what was left behind when the city moved into the already furnished One Technology Center.

The move gave local offices, churches and various companies the opportunity to pick up desks, artwork and more.

"By ordinance, we are required to sell surplus items like this in either an auction or a sealed bid setting, so we would have had to sell them," said Larry Hood, City of Tulsa purchasing agent.

There's no word on how much money the city made on the sale.
