MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) -- A federal judge sentences two former postal workers to three years of probation each in separate cases.

Former Warner Post Office postmaster Valerie J. Miner was sentenced Thursday and ordered to pay more than $7,200 in restitution for stealing money from the U.S. Postal Service.

Federal prosecutors say the 46-year-old Checotah resident converted that amount in postal service funds for her personal use.

She was indicted in September and pleaded guilty the following month to a misdemeanor count of misappropriation of postal funds.

Steven B. Riggle also was indicted in September and pleaded guilty in October to a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of mail.

The 43-year-old Ada resident was accused of knowingly and willfully obstructing the passage of mail to be delivered from the post office in Stonewall.

He is to make $4,119 in restitution.
