CATOOSA, OK -- Work is underway to right a tanker truck that rolled onto its side on Friday afternoon.
The Catoosa Police Department tells The News On 6 that the driver of the truck was trying to enter I-44 from 193rd East Avenue when his load of caustic soda apparently shifted causing the truck to roll. It happened just after 2 o'clock.
The Catoosa Police Department says the caustic soda, which is used to make soap, will have to be removed from the tanker before the truck can be righted. It could take as long as five hours to clean up the mess.
The driver was taken to the hospital for treatment of some minor injuries.
