BUFFALO VALLEY, Okla. (AP) -- Investigators still are searching for clues in the case of an elderly Latimer County woman stabbed to death in June in her Buffalo Valley home.

Sixty-seven-year-old Frieda Dighton was discovered dead June 5 in the bedroom of her rural home with her throat slashed. An autopsy revealed a savage attack, nine different cuts on her neck and defensive wounds on her left hand.

Nearly seven months later, investigators are desperate for new leads. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is offering a $15,000 reward for information, including $10,000 donated by Dighton's daughters.

Dighton's eldest daughter, Maria Wilson of Guthrie, says she's confident someone knows something and urges them to come forward.
