Free Tax Preparation Offered In Tulsa

TULSA, OK -- It's tax time and there's free help available for people who qualify. The Community Action Project launched its annual tax preparation program Monday.

Volunteers will help you do your taxes for free if you qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit.

To be eligible this year, families must have made less than $50,000, $40,000 for individuals.

Volunteers say they're happy to help.

"For me, it's great to talk to people, to be right next to the people I'm helping. It's really a good thing to know that there's someone there and that we're doing good for them," said Reed Spool, Tax Preparer.
