OSU Signs 23 Football Players

STILLWATER, OK -- Oklahoma State football coach Mike Gundy announced Wednesday the signing of 23 student-athletes to national letters of intent to join the Cowboy program.

The class includes 19 high school prospects and four from the junior college ranks. Five members of the class, the four junior-college transfers and one high school student-athlete, are already attending school at OSU and will be on the practice field when OSU begins spring drills on March 9.

OSU picked up seven signatures from Oklahoma athletes. It is the biggest group of locals signed by the Cowboys since 2003, when OSU also had seven in-state signatures.

"We are excited about the large number of Oklahomans," Gundy said. "They are a talented and well-coached group, and we will benefit from having them in the program. They all come from successful high school programs and know how to win. We felt this was an exceptional year in Oklahoma."
