Tulsa Police Investigate Fatal Shooting

TULSA, OK -- Police are investigating a fatal shooting Friday evening in Tulsa.

The shooting occurred about 8:30 outside the Glass House liquor store near the corner of North Cincinnati Avenue and Apache Street, police said. 

A 36-year-old man, identified as Demetrius Arledge in a police report, was pronounced dead at the scene after being shot in the head an unknown number of times.

Three people were taken into custody for questioning at a home about a block from the shooting, and 40-year-old Roscoe Dabney was arrested on a complaint of first-degree murder.

According to Dabney's arrest report, a woman told officers she witnessed the shooting and saw the shooter run to a nearby house.

Police located Dabney walking out from behind the house and toward a running car, the report states. A .45 semi-automatic pistol was found inside his sweatshirt, and .45-caliber shell casings were found at the scene.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown.

Dabney has served time on previous Tulsa County convictions of robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and shooting with the intent to kill.

A homicide occurred last month in the same area. Norris Walton, a 54-year-old wheelchair-bound man, was hit by a stray bullet during a drive-by shooting Jan. 7.

He was shot outside a convenience store and taken to the liquor store parking lot, where he was pronounced dead.
