TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Police say the city's third homicide in the past 24 hours was the result of a domestic dispute.

A shooting occurred about 7 p.m. Saturday outside a residence at the Carriage Village mobile home park in the 800 block of North 91st East Place, Capt. Richard Alexander of Tulsa Police said.

The victim, a 22-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses told police the victim was shot by his girlfriend's 17-year-old ex-boyfriend.

The 17-year-old went to the home of the 15-year-old mother of his child, and an argument broke out between the former boyfriend and the current boyfriend.

During the argument, the 17-year-old pulled a gun and loaded it. The 15-year-old and her mother tried to intervene, but he fired two shots, hitting the victim at least once, Alexander said.

One of the witnesses tackled the 17-year-old after the shooting, and he was taken into police custody.

The baby and several other family members were at the residence at the time of the shooting but were not injured.

The homicide is the eighth in Tulsa this year.

About 8 p.m. Friday, 36-year-old Demetrius Arledge was shot to death outside a liquor store near Apache Street and North Cincinnati Avenue. Roscoe Dabney, 40, was arrested on a first-degree murder complaint.
