CREEK COUNTY -- The search for Cori Baker continues. The 7th grader disappeared after she didn't catch the bus home from school. She had a basketball game the next morning and was inviting everyone to come watch her play.

The 13-year-old's skull was found last March at Paintball Adventures in rural Creek County, just off the Creek Turnpike.

Even after Cori's remains were found, dozens of volunteers continued to search. Eight cadaver dogs scoured the brush, but couldn't find anything else. Police said it was the last day of searching.

Almost a year later, the search is back on. On Saturday, police canvassed the crime scene for more clues. Two search and rescue dogs from Colorado are helping police search for remains.

"At about 8:15 this morning, the Tulsa Police Department came out and they had their mobile command center," said Les Miller, Paintball Adventures Owner.

When Les Miller saw the mobile command center getting setup, he couldn't believe it.

"It's been almost a year starting from now, you know, they're back here looking for evidence again," said Miller.

Marquis Bullock is charged with Cori's murder. He was dating her older sister and police say Cori was last seen in his car.

Bullock has entered a not guilty plea. His attorney's request for a change-of-venue, out of Tulsa County, is still pending. It is likely the change-of-venue request won't be decided until Bullock is back in court in three weeks.

Dental records positively identified the previously found remains as Cori Baker's, but the Medical Examiner's Office says there isn't enough to determine how she died. And the trial date, is fast approaching.

"The way they just show up unexpectedly, it is kind of trying, but I guess we just have to bend and go with the flow," said Miller. "Hopefully we can get this closed."

The News On 6 spoke to the District Attorney's office. They say they've prepared their case with the evidence they have up to this point.

Police say they have no comment on Saturday's search. The News On 6 has learned the judge handling the case sent a letter to the Tulsa Police Department last night. The letter gave investigators strict instructions not to talk to media.
