TULSA, OK -- This President's day the Tulsa Air and Space Museum offered a day program for students who are off from school, but whose parents are working. Monday the kids got quite a surprise from up above.

It's not every day you see a T-45 navy jet zoom through the skies of green country, although the sound was deafening, the smiles on the faces of the surprised kids said it all!

Navy Pilot Lieutenant Justin Lewis landed at the Air and Space Museum early Monday.

Campers were busy taking part in a day of "Awesome Aviation and Space Explorers Camp," and when they heard about the jet coming the kids ran outside and waited for the show.

Lieutenant Lewis was stationed at Tinker Air Force Base for three years, and fell in love with the people and state of Oklahoma. He offered to do the demonstration for the camp in hope of inspiring the students.

A Blue Angel was also on hand to talk to and mingle with the kids, and tell them about his experience in the sky.

We talked to several of the students who say the jet was much louder than they expected, and most said they can't wait to tell their friends about their surprise at camp.

"I think it was just a great opportunity because I don't think I'll ever be able to do this again unless I come back here, "said Mackenzie Lewis, a camper.
