TULSA, OK -- Lots of people want to learn to play the piano, but worry it'll be too difficult.  But, there's a group of people in Tulsa learning to play using something called the EZ Play Method.

The group of students and teacher on Tuesday were putting the Lowrey Magic Organs through their paces on "Saints Go Marching In."

Katy Parker is an instructor; she says this whole thing works because of something called the easy button.

"When we light that up, these lights come on down here, and we use a color coded system, so we can play now and learn later," said Katy Parker.

One of the problems for beginners, she says, has been learning to play chords with the left hand and the melody with the right.  The system makes that easier. You can play an entire chord with one finger by following the color coded sheet music.

Nancy Neal has only been playing for five months and is having a ball.

"I sit down for 30 minutes and an hour and a half later I get up.  It's just that much fun," said Nancy Neal.

It is fun for her and her 91-year-old fiancé Lee Flournoy.  They take lessons together so they can play together.

There are dozens of books, hundreds of songs color coded to make them easy to play.

To learn more about learning to play with this method, you can call Lowrey Organ at 918-872-9009.
