Suspect In 3 Tulsa Bank Robberies Arrested

Derrick Jefferson was arrested Wednesday, more than seven months after he was charged with first-degree robbery.

TULSA, OK -- Tulsa County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a man who was charged last year with robbing a bank and was a suspect in two other robberies.

Derrick Jefferson, 33, was booked into the Tulsa jail about 4:45 p.m. Wednesday on a charge of first-degree robbery in addition to previous charges of possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a controlled drug and larceny.

He is being held without bond.

Jefferson was charged in the June 30 robbery of the Arvest Bank at Edison Street and Gilcrease Museum Road.

He also was believed to have robbed the Arvest Bank inside the Wal-Mart Supercenter at 81st Street and Lewis Avenue on June 16 and a Bank of America branch at 7878 E. Admiral Place on June 10, police said.
