TULSA, OK -- A traffic accident overnight sends one person to a Tulsa hospital.

Tulsa Police say the accident happened at about 12:30 a.m. Friday as the driver of a U-Haul van headed west on 51st Street North.

Police say as she came up on a stop sign, she discovered the van had no brakes.

She told a police officer that is when she slammed into the side of a pick-up truck headed North on Xanthus.

A female passenger in the pickup truck had to be freed by Tulsa firefighters.

Police say the passenger was hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries.

No one else was hurt.
