TULSA, OK -- An investigation is underway after an officer with the Tulsa Police Department opened fire on robbery suspects.

David Dillion, 23, Germaine Broadway Jr., 25, Marcus Shelton, 22 and Tion Revels, 28 were booked into Tulsa County Jail Wednesday morning.

Police say the four men are suspected in the robbery of the Family Dollar store at 305 East Pine.

The incident started just after 8:00 Tuesday night when police received a call of four men with guns entering the store.

As officers arrived, police say they saw the suspects getting into a vehicle. Seeing the officers, the driver fled the scene.

One suspect didn't get in the car in time and started running.

Officers say they chased and captured the man, Germaine Broadway. Police say they recovered a large amount of money from Broadway.

Police say the men who drove away threw a gun out of their vehicle at Detroit and Reading.

The suspect vehicle turned southbound on Cincinnati Avenue where Officer Foust and Sergeant Ballenger pulled in behind the vehicle and attempted to stop it. Police say a short vehicle pursuit ensued and ended behind a business at 2200 N. Cincinnati Avenue.

The three suspects fled the car and officers ran after them. Police say Tilon Revels was taken into custody by officers at about 200 East Woodrow Street.

Police say the two passengers, David Dillon and Marcus Shelton, fled eastbound. They jumped a fence into the backyard of a residence. Officers say Sergeant Ballenger confronted the suspects at gunpoint from the other side of the fence.

Officers say Sergeant Ballenger pulled his service weapon and commanded the suspects to stop. One of the suspects turned quickly toward Sergeant Ballenger who fired one shot at the suspects, but did not hit them, police say.

The suspects fled, but were later captured. There was an additional gun found in the suspect's vehicle.

Robbery detectives are reviewing previous armed robberies to see if any cases appear to be similar to this robbery.
