EDMOND, Oklahoma -- A heated pursuit involving the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office ended Thursday in a head-on collision, resulting in multiple injuries.

A woman driving a Toyota Camry led deputies on the chase, beginning near NW Expressway and NW 63 Street. The Camry traveled at speeds ranging from 10 to 85 mph.

The driver, 49-year-old Luellen Burke, ended the pursuit in Edmond, near NW 178 Street and Portland Avenue after colliding head-on with a Nissan Sentra carrying four passengers. Burke had been driving northbound on the wrong side of the ride when she collided with the Sentra.

Three of the four female passengers in the Nissan Sentra suffered minor injuries, including a possible broken wrist, and they were taken to an area hospital. The driver of the Sentra was not injured.

Burke suffered no injuries in the head-on crash, but a significant amount of marijuana and prescription drugs were found inside the suspect's vehicle. Burke was taken into custody and to an area hospital to receive a blood test to determine if she was driving under the influence of drugs.

The 49-year-old faces multiple charges, including attempting to elude, possession of marijuana and wreck-less driving.
