TULSA, OK -- The Gilcrease Museum kicked off its Art Blast program Saturday.

The event let families experience art though hands-on activities and learn about the museum in the process.

"It's a way for families to come in participate in different activities related to a theme, which our theme today is American impressionism, and get to know the museum a little bit better and have an opportunity to interact with one another and other families," said Lanette Coppage of Gilcrease Museum.

The museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays and has scheduled four more Art Blasts this summer.
