Motorcycle Crash Claims Wister Man

A Wister man has died after running his motorcycle off a LeFlore County road and crashing into a wooden post.

WISTER, OK -- A Wister man has died after running his motorcycle off a LeFlore County road and crashing into a wooden post.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 49-year-old William Chesier died at the scene shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday, just east of Wister.

The patrol says Chesier was westbound on a county road when he lost control on a curve, slammed into a wooden post and overturned several times.

The patrol report indicates Chesier was not wearing a helmet and was thrown about 25 feet.
