Jury Selection Held In Kimberly Graham Case

TULSA, OK -- The trial has started for a Tulsa woman accused of killing five people with her car.  Prosecutors say Kimberly Graham was drunk when she slammed into a crowd of people gathering to help a fallen motocyclist.  It happened two years ago outside a bar on Memorial Drive.

Kimberly Graham has pleaded not guilty.  She's charged with five counts of manslaughter and five counts of leaving the scene of an accident.  After a few delays, her trial began on Monday with jury selection.

Jimmy Martin made the first call on that Friday night two November's ago.  DeAnna Coatney wrecked her motorcycle outside a bar on South Memorial.  Her husband, Ronny, and three others ran to her aid.

A driver ran them down and then sped off.  All five were killed:  the Coatneys, Casey Jones, Anita Foote, and Shannon Lacey.

A woman named Kimberly Graham called police the next day.

"Well I was involved in a hit and run accident and I need to turn myself in," Kimberly Graham told 911 dispatchers.

Tulsa Police say during an interview, Graham admitted she spent the night drinking at several bars and thought she'd only hit a car.

Many of the families of those killed shared their stories with The News On 6.  And, as those families try to move forward, Kimberly Graham is going to trial.
