Tulsa Meth Lab Fire Injures Resident

TULSA, OK -- Tulsa fire investigators say the cause of a Wednesday morning Tulsa house fire was connected to the production of methamphetamine.

Tulsa Fire Captain Michael Baker says remnants of a lab were found at the scene by investigators.

Tulsa firefighters were called to the home in the 800 block of South 64th West Avenue at about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday.

They arrived to find flames shooting through the roof. Fire officials say a man who lives in the home apparently went to a relative's house.

Emergency crews were called to help him and found he had chemical burns to his feet, hands and face.

The home is considered a total loss.

In the past two weeks, Tulsa has had three meth lab-related fires.

Rogers County has had two meth lab explosions in the past six days.
