TWIN HILLS, OK -- It's been nearly two weeks since the Twin Hills School burned to the ground.  The tiny community is still reeling from the loss, but it's receiving some much-needed help from one of its own students and his prize pig.

Twin Hills lost a century worth of history when its school was destroyed by fire in February.  The community desperately wants to rebuild, and its effort got a big boost this week from a big pig.  His name is Richard, and he belongs to Twin Falls third-grader Kaden Martin.

"He's a cross-bred pig.  He's almost a year old now," said Kaden Martin.

The nine year old has been showing Richard, and recently took home $600 at a local livestock show.  Instead of bringing home all the bacon, Kaden asked his parents if he could donate $300 to his school.

Kaden says he was devastated when Twin Hills burned down a couple of weeks ago, so when he won all the money with big Richard, he didn't hesitate to give it back to his school.

"Because they need all the equipment for baseball and all the basketball stuff, and desk and paper and pencils," said Kaden Martin.

"Very proud, it almost brings tears to my eyes," said Kaden's mother, Tina Martin.

Kaden's parents say the idea for the donation was entirely Kaden's.  They say they were overwhelmed with pride when their son told them his idea, and believe everyone can learn from him and Richard.

"A lot of kids would want to go buy a video game or something silly, and he wants to give it away to help his school, to help his classmates, and principal. So, it's a little life lesson," said Kaden's mother, Tina Martin.

Twins Hills' principal describes Kaden as a remarkable young man.  He says others have given larger donations to the rebuilding effort, but the nine year old's is the biggest gesture he has seen so far.
