DELAWARE COUNTY, Oklahoma -- The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has identified two jailers injured by escaping inmates at the Delaware County Jail earlier this week.

Linda Eaton, 46, and Matt Hyso, 30, were both hit in the head with a metal pipe by prisoners Devin Martin and Kyle Sutton about 7 p.m. Wednesday as the inmates were being served dinner.

Eaton and Hyso were taken to a Joplin hospital for treatment. The OSBI did have a condition update for the two injured jailers, but a source told The News On 6 they are expected to be released Friday.

Delaware County deputies and Jay Police chased the pair down Highway 59, exchanging gunfire along the way. The chase ended on a county road where Martin, 20, said he was not going to prison and shot himself in the head.

Sutton, 24, surrendered to police.
