STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- It was the toughest possible draw for Oklahoma State to open Big 12 play, the No. 5 team in the country the Baylor Bears and 6-foot-8-inch stud Brittney Griner.

It turned out to be a bad day for the Bears, when the Cowgirls rolled past them 78-65.

Andrea Riley put her team on her back, scoring 43 points, more than all of the Baylor starters combined. Despite the impressive offensive output, Riley was still two points shy of tying her career-high of 45 points, which she set against Oklahoma her sophomore year. In addition to her scoring frenzy, Riley dished out six assists, got two steals and only had one turnover.

Griner led the Bears in the loss, scoring 16 points and grabbing 10 rebounds, but didn’t have a block in the game and turned the ball over five times in the contest. The Baylor starters couldn’t seem to find a rhythm on offense in the game, shooting 38.6 percent and only making two 3-point shots.

OSU is now riding a nine-game win streak, and tries to push it to double-digits in Kansas against the Jayhawks, Tuesday Jan. 12, 2010.
